Under 17's Colts

Team background

Durham County provide an entry point into football for boys and girls within Durham and we have a record of developing youngsters into great footballers.

We are a club that prides ourselves on professionalism in an environment of positive encouragement and fun and we also warmly welcome the active participation and support of the parents.

The Under 17's have two teams who are managed by:

U17's: Jon Hollingsworth tel no 0191 3840896

U17's Colts: Colin Newton tel no 0191 3782864.

Jon manages the Durham County team who play in the Premier Division of the Russell Foster Youth League and Colin manages Durham County Colts who play in the First Division.

Jon has looked after the teams for the last nine years when they started in the Under 8's category, while Colin is in his second year with the Colts.

They are both looking forward to the new season where they hope both teams will do well.

Summer training takes place at Gilesgate Sports College every Tuesday 6.00pm till 8.00 pm.

Winter training is on Gilesgate Sports College all-weather area on Wednesdays as follows:

Under 16's: 8.00pm - 9.00pm.
Under 16's Colts: 7.00pm - 8.00pm.
